During the winter months, oak trees are not as delicate and it reduces the risk of getting diseases or infestations. Once your oak tree is trimmed properly, during the spring and into the summer months, the oak tree will grow and flourish.

Before and After Oak Tree Trimming
Oak Tree Trimming

Let's break down on what we did with this oak tree:

  1. Pruned for strength by removing co-dominant leaders and multi-trunks to encourage the growth of one main single “central” leader.

  2. Removed injured, diseased and dead branches.

  3. With the Rubbing branches, we pruned for form by removing excess lateral branches to produce a ladder effect at maturity.

  4. Removed limbs that turned inward, cross or extended.

TWQ has the knowledge, experience and tools to properly prune and care for your oak tree. As we approach winter, keep in mind that this time of year is the best time to prune oak trees. Give us a call today to schedule a free estimate to prune your oak trees.
